What do I love about magazines? Everything looks dreamy.. annnnnnnd just so you have the inside scoop.. I was running around like a crazy lady for weeks on end making everything look like it was just casually thrown together and naturally beautiful.

Nothing is easy… am I right?

During the photo shoot prep… I definitely had a sweaty menopausal moustache shadow, and hair that looked like a birds nest. Should I admit that in my outside voice?

Truth is, Style at Home is a beautiful magazine to work with and it’s an absolute honour to be across their pages of gorgeousness.

1.

The wee flags hanging are from the most adorable little Etsy shop ….  Map banner bunting

I adore Pamuk & Co. Turkish Towels from Tonic Living

We painted a bunch of old chairs with Fusion Mineral Paint and they are sooooo pretty.

We used the colour : Casement.  Fusion mineral paint is d’bomb dot com for painting furniture. It’s my fave!

Vintage windows from Ken at Fieldstone Windows and Doors.

Ken normally sells new windows and doors, so it was a real treat to have reclaimed leaded glass vintage finds for the cabin!

Last year, we painted the floor with Benjamin Moore Simply White oc-117 and this year, we switched it up and used Homestead House Paint Co. (tinted to Simply white)

PS. I had no idea that Homestead house paint could be used on floors (!!!!) and walls. No idea. I have been using their milk paint for years as a white wash on walls (you can see it here on the treehouse laTREEn)… then boom… I discovered that it can be used on floors.  GAME CHANGER.  I freaking LOVE it!
