Most of us aren’t short on ideas. We’re buried in them. Tabs open, screenshots saved, inspiration everywhere, ugh. That's the part where I usually close my laptop and run out of the room*.
*sip vodka from flask in desk drawer. Kidding, Mom. I sip wine.
Planning our living room was my way of quieting things down. I planned slowly. I started by choosing a few pieces that felt right and then stopped (rather than running for the hills.) So far, it has been 9 months. Don't judge me. Although technically, I could've had a baby by now (if I wasn't 102 years old.)
The sectional, chair, table, and rug arrived this week. The armoire was already holding its ground. It landed in the living room from our Bali sale event last year. Unlacquered curtain rods are getting installed soon. I custom ordered them for Casa Lane, fell in love, and am ordering more as soon as I can get my act together and order my next Bali shipment. Say a prayyyyer to the shipping Goddesses.
Curtains are coming. HALP. Side tables will find their place. The room is evolving slowly, but surely. I'm here for the little wins. Here are the pieces that made the cut. Everything else is still auditioning.
